These lectures, essentially analogous to those in the Institute for Critical Theories of Supermodernity, but entitled ‘Historical sociology of modern and supermodern capitalism’, are mandatory in the doctoral programme of ‘Science, technology and supermodern capitalism’ in the University of Plovdiv (endeavours that are, so to say, in Wahlverwandschaft with those in the Institute). Therefore I think that in our discussions it is reasonable to follow the requirements of Ockham’s razor  – footnote mine, D.D.
